Tiffany D. Tilley is a native Detroiter. Her professional background includes education, real estate development, community and economic development, years serving as a municipal government appointee, and nonprofit leadership. Through her community work, she has managed and opened the doors for millions of dollars to help communities in Southeastern Michigan. Currently, she serves as both a State official and a City official.

In 2018, Tilley won the State Board of Education election by almost 1.8M votes. At her first board meeting, she was unanimously voted by the board to serve as the NASBE Rep., making her a leader in education both statewide and nationally. Today, she serves as the Co-Vice President of the Board, where she gives a voice to underserved populations, including using her platform to advocate for increasing equitable funding, CTE programs, early childhood education (ECE), closing the achievement gap, mental health support, and for foster youth across our State.

She holds a dual Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Communications from Rochester College and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy geared towards International Business. She has been trained by governments and multinational corporations in multiple countries abroad.
